Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci (Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej currently Onesti) Romanian Gymnast born on November 12, 1961. She was the first Romanian to be awarded a score of 10 for an Olympic contest. Bela Karrolyi, the Romanian gymnastics teacher who later became Comaneci's coach and first became aware of Comaneci at the age of six. In 1969, she participated in the Romanian Junior Games and finished 13th. She won in 1970. At her first international event in 1972, a pre-Olympic junior competition for communist-bloc nations she was awarded three gold medals. In 1973 and 1974, she was an the all-around junior champion. She took home four gold medals and one silver medals at her first international competition for seniors, held in 1975. This was the first time she competed as an adult. She won the American Cup in New York City in 1976, becoming the first female to do a backward double salto as an unmounting from uneven bars parallel to each other. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. When she was in her teens she was performing on travelling shows such as Ice Capades as a skater together with her younger sister Nina Wayne. Carol Marie Wayne born 6 September 1942 in Chicago Illinois US. Carol ventured into the entertainment business during her teenage years. At the age of a girl, she began performing as an ice skater with Nina Wayne in the travelling show of entertainment Ice Capades. They featured ice skating shows with theatrical shows.
