Ashford was last seen in the role of Paula Jones in Ryan Murphy FX series American Crime Story Impeachment. The series is based on the National Crisis which put Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp as the central figure in the country's First Impeachment Proceedings over an Century. Two seasons ago, Ashford was the main character of CBS's hit series B Positive. It was co-produced by Chuck Lorre with Marco Pennette. It featured Linda Lavin as well as Hector Elizondo and Ben Vereen. Ashford is no stranger to Broadway. Her portrayal of Essie on You Can't Take It with You was a winner of the Tony Drama Desk Awards and Outer Critics Circle Awards. The actress has also been in Broadway in Sunday in the Park With George Wicked, Legally Blonde as well as the original part as Lauren in Kinky Boots for which she received a nomination for the Tony Award. Ashford was raised and born in Denver and is now dividing her time between Los Angeles, and New York.
